Is sleep&eat free to use as a traveller? +
Yes. Searching and contacting hosts is completely free. You only pay for the stay itself — the price shown is the full price.
How is this different from Booking.com or Airbnb? +
The big platforms charge hosts 15–25% commission and block direct communication until after you book. We believe hosts and guests deserve to talk to each other first. We keep commissions fair and communication open.
How do I know a property is genuine? +
Every listing is reviewed before it goes live. We check that the host is real, the photos are accurate, and the property description is honest. We'd rather have fewer listings than bad ones.
Can I book instantly or do I need to request? +
It depends on the host. Some properties offer instant booking; others prefer to exchange a few messages first. We support both — because some stays genuinely benefit from a quick introduction.
What countries are covered? +
We cover all of Europe, with a growing concentration in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Ireland. New regions are added regularly — if your favourite destination isn't listed yet, it will be.
